This new model represents the natural evolution of their previous SG12 boot. The Gaerne SG22 introduces several innovations. The 3D Main Body Toe Box features a unique three-dimensional construction, reducing the gap between the sole and the gear lever for faster shifting. The Aluminum Superlight Buckles have not only received a new painted finish but also offer adjustable positions for a better fit. The Frontal Shin Guard and Air Vents improve comfort and airflow, while the boot's motion geometry has been enhanced to mimic ankle movements.

The boot incorporates the Razorback design to reduce weight and features the Gaerne Dual Stage Pivot System for ankle protection. Internally, the Memory foam molds to the ankle shape, providing stability. The inner leg area of the SG22 includes Grip Guard rubber elements for increased protection and improved grip.
