How long do we keep the data?

We have certain terms, these are shown below:

  • E-mails and messages are deleted after 3 years
  • If you have registered for the newsletter or have given permission to receive personalized message, we will retain that permission for 5 years
  • Administration is kept for 7 year, this is mandatory for the tax authorities. After this period, only anonymous data will be saved for internal use.
  • Inactive customer accounts are kept for 7-10 years, due to warranty and administration. After that period we only use the data anonymously, for internal reports.

How is your data protected?

All data is on a secure server. We use secure SSL connections that protect all information between your device and our website when you enter personal data. Personal data is stored on a European server to ensure that your data is properly protected.

Who has access to the data?

Data is shared with other parties if necessary for the webshop service. This includes parties such as: Package and letter carriers, Review sites, Payment processors and IT service providers. We have entered into an agreement with all these companies to protect your data.

Parties such as media and advertising agencies and research agencies are used when we want to give you personal advice or show targeted advertisements, for example based on the interest in certain products. In suspicious situation we are obliged to share client data with government agencies. These parties are only allowed to use the data on behalf of V1mx. We never sell your data to third parties.

What are your rights

You have the right to inspect, correct and delete the data. If you want to view, change or delete personal details, you can send a request to V1mx. This can be done by contacting us via e-mail or letter. The contact data of V1mx is shown below in the contact details.

You also have the right to object to direct marketing. You can opt out of direct marketing by following the instruction in each marketing e-mail. If you are of the opinion that V1mx does not process your personal data correctly, you can contact us. You also have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority.

What happens if the customer is a minor?

Our webshop is meant for adults, but there may be cases where customers younger than 16 years buy or view the products on our website. If we know that a customer is younger than 16 years of age, we do not use the personal data of this customer for marketing purposes.
